Hair & Face Editor is a free Android app for trying out hair colours and portrait retouching on a photo. The user picks a photo from their gallery using the Android system photo picker. The app then, entirely on the device, segments the hair region using a bundled Google MediaPipe image segmentation model and detects facial landmarks using a bundled face mesh model. Editing is non-destructive: - Colour: 15 hair colours (natural and creative). Recolouring preserves the hair's own luminance, so individual strands and shine stay visible instead of turning into a flat patch. - Style: roots shading, ombre tips, highlights, shine band, and hair volume (crown lift and widening based on the detected hair region). - Face: reshaping tools (face width, jaw, chin, eyes, nose, lips) using a displacement-field warp engine. - Retouch: skin smoothing and texture via frequency-separation processing masked to the face. - Reset per tool and reset all. - Export the result to the device gallery at standard or maximum quality, plus a local "My Looks" list with thumbnails. The app applies colour and shading to the user's real hair in the photo. It does not overlay wigs or hairstyle cut-outs. MONETIZATION: Version 1.0.0 is completely free with NO ads, NO subscriptions, NO in-app purchases and no paid features. (A future version may introduce advertising; this description covers 1.0.0.) ACCOUNTS: No user accounts, no sign-in, no registration, no cloud backend. PERMISSIONS: The app declares NO runtime permissions and NO internet permission at all. Photos are chosen through the Android system photo picker, which grants access only to the single image selected. Saving uses the MediaStore API, which needs no permission. PLATFORM: Android only, minimum Android 8.0 (API 26). App interface available in English, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), German, French and Arabic with right-to-left support. INTENDED USE: Creative and cosmetic photo editing — previewing a hair colour idea on a photo. It is not a medical or dermatological product, gives no hair or scalp health advice, and results are a simulation, not a prediction of how a real dye will turn out.
