Is the app really free?
Yes. All 15 colours and every tool are free. There are no ads, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
Do my photos get uploaded anywhere?
No. The app has no internet permission at all, so it is technically incapable of sending anything anywhere. All editing happens on your device. See the privacy policy.
Will this show me exactly how a real dye will look?
No — it is a creative preview, not a prediction. A real result depends on your natural colour, your hair's condition and the product used. Treat the app as a way to explore an idea before you commit.
The colour bled onto my skin or the background
The app finds the hair by analysing the photo, and that works best when the hair stands out clearly. Use a photo with even lighting and a plain background that contrasts with your hair, and avoid hats, hoods, scarves and heavy shadow around the head.
The new colour looks darker than the swatch
Recolouring keeps your hair's own light and shade so strands and shine stay visible instead of turning into a flat patch — so dark hair stays dark. Very dark hair shows creative colours least; try the roots, ombre or highlight tools to add contrast.
What do the Style tools do?
Roots darkens the top, Ombre lightens the tips, Highlights brightens the lighter strands, Shine adds a soft light band, and Volume lifts and widens the hair shape.
Where do my exported photos go?
To your device gallery, and they also appear in the app under My Looks.
Does editing change my original photo?
Never. The app always writes a new file and leaves your original untouched.
What is "Maximum Quality"?
A second export button that saves at the highest quality setting, producing a larger file. It is free, like everything else.
Can I change the app's language?
The app is available in English, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), German, French and Arabic, and follows your device language automatically. On Android 13 and newer you can set a language just for this app in Settings → Apps → Hair & Face Editor → Language.
How do I delete my data?
Delete individual items in My Looks, or clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Everything is local. See the data removal page.
Does the app work offline?
Entirely. It never needed a connection in the first place.
