These terms govern your use of Hair & Face Editor ("the app"), an Android application published by Hugo Software. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The app is free
Hair & Face Editor is provided free of charge. It contains no subscriptions, no in-app purchases and no paid features. There is no account to create and no personal information to provide.
Your photos and your content
You keep all rights to the photos you edit. We claim no ownership, no licence and no interest in them — and, because the app has no network access, we never receive them in the first place.
You are responsible for the images you edit. You agree that you will only edit photos that you own or are otherwise entitled to use, and that you will not use the app to:
- edit or publish images of another person in a way that is defamatory, harassing, sexualised without consent, or otherwise harmful;
- create material that misrepresents a real person or event in a deceptive way;
- edit images of children in any inappropriate manner;
- infringe anyone's copyright, likeness, privacy or other rights;
- break the law of the country you are in.
Hair colours are a simulation
The hair colours the app renders are a digital effect applied to a photograph. They are a creative preview and are not a prediction of the result of any real hair dye, bleach or salon treatment on your hair. Real results depend on your natural colour, hair condition, the product used and the person applying it.
Hair & Face Editor is not a medical, dermatological or hair-care advice product. It makes no health claims and must not be used as a basis for any health decision. Always follow the instructions and patch-test guidance of any real product you use, and consult a professional if in doubt.
Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue the app or any of its features at any time. Future versions may introduce advertising or paid features; if that happens, it will be disclosed in the app's store listing and privacy policy for that version.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that hair and face detection will succeed on any particular photo.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hugo Software is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for any loss of data or images, arising from your use of the app.
Your photos live only on your device. Keeping your own backups is your responsibility. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage permanently deletes its local data, and we cannot recover it because we never had a copy.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Google Play
Your use of the app is also subject to Google Play's terms. Google is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the app evolves. The current version is always available at this address, and continued use of the app means you accept the revised terms.
